Garry Dart (They/She/He) is a queer, genderfluid, Newfoundlander who strives for systemic change, through advocacy, activism, and use of de-colonial and anti-racist practices. They have worked and volunteered for many 2SLGBTQIA+ organizations in St. John’s, Halifax and Ottawa, on community, provincial and national levels including with prideHealth, ACNS, MAX Ottawa, and PFLAG Canada for many years. They have an honours BSc in Ecology and Conservation Biology, an honours BA in Psychology, a graduate certificate in advanced training in affirmative therapy for trans communities, as well as a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology.

They have run several local and national 2SLGBTQIA+ conferences and given countless workshops and guest lectures. Most notably, she Managed the National HIV Anti-Stigma ‘POZitivity’ Campaign including the ‘Slay Stigma Canadian Tour’ with Trinity K. Bone’t from RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2019, has been guest lecturer at University of Toronto, Dalhousie, St. Anne, Acadia, StFX, & St. Mary’s and provided workshops for unions, professional colleges, and associations across the country.
